Update:
Since the last post, we had almost lost hope. My grandmother's condition had deteriorated, and it looked like she would spend the rest of her life in a nursing home. Many of her days/nights were spent restrained due to combative dementia. She spoke of her mother and my grandfather as if they were alive and sometimes in the room! She cried, thinking she was in jail when restrained for her own safety. It was hard to witness, and heartbreaking to imagine her living like this indefinitely. This went on for almost two weeks. Her vital signs fluctuated daily. We expected the worst at any moment. We actually started praying for her suffering to end, even if it meant we would lose her forever.
Well, a miracle occurred!!! A MAJOR abdominal infection was discovered. When treatment began, they had no idea that it would have the effect it did. Her dementia is GONE. Her pain is GONE. She is coming home to her own house on the 20th, to live independently once again. She called me on the phone earlier just to ask about my mother-in-law.
I am in awe of our God and His mercy. Thank you to each and every one of you who prayed for her!!!! Her recovery is nothing short of a miracle!!>>>
Please pray for my grandmother, Ruth. She was just taken to the hospital, very disoriented. Her blood pressure and blood glucose levels are very high. We are not sure, but we think she may have a blockage somewhere. Please pray that whatever it is, she is able to recover quickly and get back to normal. She is 86, and still rakes her own leaves and her whole yard is flower/rose/vegetable gardens.
My daughter and I just prayed Mother Theresa's emergency novena, and we invite others to join us!

Any updates? I've been praying for her! I wondered if it was a blood sugar thing - that can really make you feel super-disoriented if it is off.
