and it is a big one.....they are cleaning out her airway of the scar tissue that unfortunately builds up when you have a foreign object in it like a trach cannula. This same scar tissue is now blocking her airway above the cannula. We need to get it out, because the next BIG step is seeing if she can have her trach capped, and wean off of it...or.....does she need the same jaw reconstruction that her big brother needed almost exactly three years ago. The other thing weighing heavily on us is the surgery last August, when she quit breathing twice....when they manipulated her airway...that would be the same airway they are now going to laser out scar tissue.  The docs, with the surgery in Oct, managed things very, very well...I am requesting the same doc to do the anesthesia.
God's Will be Done....but oh Lord...you know what's in my heart..for a safe and uneventful surgery for my precious girl.

Surgery Update by Marilyn:
I just spoke to Diana. Lily is out of surgery - it went really well - praise God. She will be in recovery today and should be going home tomorrow morning - Diana will update further when she is home.
Praise God - please keep praying for a good, uneventful recovery today for Lily - and strength for Diana who is by her side.

Praying for wisdom for the surgeons and a very uneventful and successful surgery. And lots of peace for mama. We will have candles lit and also do lots of memorares
