Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

... or the muscle in my lower right back. I just bent over slightly to open the washer and a sharp pain shot through my lower back area. I could *not* move and my ds helped me to get to a chair in the living room. He checked the Internet and told me that I have stressed the lower back muscle over the last several weeks (cannot imagine that)!

Anyway, I have massaged it a bit, and I am moving around, but I certainly can feel the stess in the muscle now. I ask for prayers (I certainly don't mean to whine) because we are doing the First Saturday devotion with another family and today is the last Saturday (although I think that we may continue on even after). It is my turn to host the potluck dinner, so I am a bit stressed about dinner preparations (and of course, picking up the house).

I am not yet 50, but I feel every inch of it today! Thank you for any prayers you may offer!

Oh, Carole...I can empathize! My back is still sore from sledding the other day. Be sure to put some heat on it, and take ibuprofen...it helps tremendously.
I will pray for quick relief.

Well, I managed to attend mass and it was wonderful. I felt such a sense of peace! Dinner also went well as did our prayers. But, I still feel a bit of stress and occassionally a twinge of pain.

Headed for bed with some heat and a painkiller. Thank you for your prayers ladies!

Oh no, Carole! I did the same thing Christmas Day and worried about what to do if I went into labor. Good thing it was much improved the next day. I so understand how you're feeling. Glad to hear that you're better, but I'll keep up with the prayers! Get some rest :)
