Update: Thanks! Well, no news of cancer from what was actually tested, which of course is good. Unfortunately from what I understand this was not the most thorough biopsy technique so a finding of cancer is more reliable than no finding of cancer, and now he's to see an oncologist. He might have to have a more invasive biopsy, and even if no cancer is ever found it sounds like he's probably facing some major abdominal surgery to deal with this thing.
But the good thing remains that it seems that even a finding of cancer would carry very little likelihood of even having to have chemotherapy, let alone death from it in the near future.]
Update 12/11: The oncologist apparently wants him to have a laparoscopic (am I spelling this wrong or does spell check have a limited vocabulary?) biopsy now. It sounds like the doctor would prefer it to be quite soon, but not sure how quickly it can be scheduled. I don't yet have the details for what this means in terms of hospital stay, recovery, risks, likelihood of recommendation for a more invasive biopsy if these results also don't indicate cancer, etc.

Well, Theresa, it sounds as if some news came from this, and it doesn't sound too awful. I'll continue to pray. I know you guys have been journeying down this road awhile and it surely must be feeling a little old to both of you - all of the uncertainty and more tests and more doctors and more specialists - I'm praying with much empathy!
