The first intention is for a friend's son who was in a motorcycle accident. Thankfully he will recover but it is agony and a bunch of broken bones and very nearly life-altering. It will be a long recovery and there are a few courses that are important for him to complete so if you don't mind adding a few prayers for him, his recovery and ability to function well enough to get down what really must get done. He is a senior in college. It must be awfully difficult to realize how close he was to finishing out the whole semester.
The other request is minor and I hope you don't mind me asking for your prayers. My daughter is just feeling snowed under right now between jobs, volunteer work and courses. Evidently she thought she would spend a bit of extra time wrapping up a few things. Well she cannot get her Canon to work or whatever it is - she tried to explain it all to me but it sounds like Greek and so she thought she'd put it aside for awhile and just do some of the really, really easy finishing touches on her paper - just minor corrections, etc. She just called trying to figure out how to get boxes from around her footnotes on the paper. At one point she lost the paper - but fortunately she'd sent dad a copy to see if he could figure out how to unbox the footnotes. She cannot figure out how she got them there in the first place and even fix-everything daddy could not figure this one out so it looks like she will be up late re-typing the whole thing, hopefully without the funny footnote problems again. This is so, so minor but if you don't mind offering a prayer - also travel prayers as she has a 1 hour + drive to a competition tomorrow too.
