Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

You may already know of this or be doing your own novenas but I received this general prayer request through my daily Gracelines from Fr Corapi to all Catholics regarding the coming US elections.
I feel compelled to pass this along.
I hope you can all join in this very important novena to Our Lady of Victories.
We are holding you all close in prayer during this very important and precarious time.
God Bless
Chemai

"Father John Corapi, SOLT is urging all to participate in a novena to Our Lady of Victory beginning October 27. The novena intention is for a pro-life outcome in our national elections, November 4. I support this novena and encourage all of us to participate in it. Nothing is impossible with God. May we work diligently and untiringly on behalf of the dignity and value of every human being from the moment of conception to natural death."
Sincerely,
Johnnette Benkovic
LHLA and Women of Grace"

Our Lady of Victory

Lord, have mercy on us,
Christ, have mercy on us,
Christ, hear us,
Christ, graciously hear us.
God, the Father of Heaven, Have mercy on us.
God, the Son, Redeemer of the world, Have mercy on us.
God, the Holy Spirit, Have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, One God, Have mercy on us.

The response for the following greetings is Pray for us.

Our Lady of Victory,
Victorious daughter of the Father,
Victorious Mother of the Son,
Victorious Spouse of the Holy Spirit,
Victorious servant of the Holy Trinity
Victorious in your Immaculate Conception,
Victorious in crushing the serpent's head,
Victorious over all the children of Adam,
Victorious over all enemies,
Victorious in your response to the Angel Gabriel,
Victorious in your wedding to St. Joseph,
Victorious in the birth of Christ,
Victorious in the flight to Egypt,
Victorious in your exile,
Victorious in your home at Nazareth,
Victorious in finding Christ in the temple,
Victorious in the mission of your Son,
Victorious in His passion and death,
Victorious in His Resurrection and Ascension,
Victorious in the Coming of the Holy Spirit,
Victorious in your sorrows and joys,
Victorious in your glorious Assumption,
Victorious in the angels who remained faithful,
Victorious in the happiness of the saints,
Victorious in the message of the prophets,
Victorious in the testimony of the patriarchs,
Victorious in the zeal of the apostles,
Victorious in the witness of the evangelists,
Victorious in the wisdom of the doctors,
Victorious in the deeds of the confessors,
Victorious in the triumph of all holy women,
Victorious in the faithfulness of the martyrs,
Victorious in your powerful intercession,
Victorious under your many titles,
Victorious at the moment of death,

Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, Spare us, Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, Hear us, Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, Have mercy, Lord.
Pray for us, blessed Lady of Victory.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

The Novena Prayer

Let us pray:
Our Lady of Victory, we have unshaken confidence in your influence with your Son, our
Lord, Jesus Christ. Humbly we ask your intercession for all of us associated under your title, Our Lady of Victory.

We beg your powerful assistance also for our own personal needs. (Please mention here
your special intention in you own words.) In your maternal kindness please ask Jesus to
forgive all our sins and failings, and to secure His blessings for us and for all the works of
charity dedicated to your name. We implore you to obtain for us the grace of sharing
Christ's victory and your forever in the life that knows no ending. May we join you
to praise forever the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, on God, for all the
ages to come. Amen.

Salve Regina (Hail Holy Queen)
Let us pray:

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To Thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary,
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God:
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled
to Thy protection, implored Thy help, and sought Thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To Thee I
come; before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate!
despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

All this we ask of The Father in the name of Mary's Son, Our Lord

Chemai,

It is wonderful to think that Catholics around the world are praying for U.S. citizens as we head to the polls. Thank you so much for posting this...and for your prayers! We do need them, and we especially need prayers for the people who value life but don't normally vote - so they come out on Nov. 4 and do their civic duty.

All voters and poll workers in the U.S. need prayer. My mother-in-law is a precinct site supervisor for every election, and she says the poll workers were told they can't take lunch breaks or be away from the polling place for any length of time. Now, I know the polls will be busy, but this is just silly. Most polling site workers are retirees and they just can't skip lunch! They need prayer.

(My MIL says she will run her precinct the way she always does, so her subordinates will get lunch breaks. Please pray for all the Californai poll workers who don't report to her!)

I think it is amazingly wonderful that people in other countries are praying for our elections. I think we should return the favor (hint, Chemai!) when the occasion arises.

It is not too late to pray for a change of heart for voters who haven't thought through the pro-life issues that are at the heart of this election. Please, please pray for the U.S. voters who are still undecided. Pray, too, for the winners and losers of this election. It will take every ounce of courage these people possess to confront the media when it's all over. Let's pray they all support life from conception to natural death, even if they don't support that position now. God can work miracles. He says we can seek and ask and knock - now is the time.

I'm so thankful for this board - never more than now, when a sister Catholic homeschooling mom in another hemisphere cares enough to pray for my country. Thank you, Chemai, for sharing this powerful prayer and for praying for American Catholics who must make a truly important decision Nov. 4.

Thank you, Chemai. I had seen this request from Fr. Corapi forwarded on a local list but the specific prayers were not included. You saved me the time of looking them up .

Praying!

Love,

Nancy we will defintely keep the poll workers in our prayers as well. That's pretty ruff on them. Your MIL sounds like a real trouper. Good on her.

Thank you for the offer of prayers for our future - we'll let you know. I'm sure we will need them.

There has been so much ground gained over the last few years it seems in America with the fight for life - the marches, closure of many abortion mills, Priest for Life etc. It would be a evil catastrophe for an anti-life person to become President. The ramifications would be horrific. How long will Gods hand be held back?
I know other fights have been lost, for example Terri Schiavo - such a appalling heartbreak an evil precedent set in that case. I'm sure she is a saint in heaven. This is a time where we have an obvious battle between good & evil, a battle that we can help you fight through prayer.
It is our pleasure to pray and support you all!

May Our Lady of Victory's and Our lady of Guadalupe interven for us all.

That's great Angie. God Bless!

It is a particularly beautiful novena...and since I belong to a parish called, Our Lady of Victories and have her statue there by that title, I love the idea of praying to Our Lady under that title as well.

Thanks for posting this as it truly is a wonderful prayer and OLV is a wonderful reminder that we need to humble ourselves to ask for aid ... but that God always gives us what we need!

Now that the election has been decided I will pray for Obama and his government to become more pro-life. I hope that some of his policies that I know to be so anti-life will not be passed. A miracle will have to be performed for this to happen, but nothing is impossible to God.

I am disappointed in this result but God knows what we need as Mary's link reminds us, although I am at peace about it all. God will always give us the strength to endure what we must, if we ask for it.
We must carry our crosses and leave the heaviness and the duration up to him.

May Our Lady of Perpetual Succour pray for us.
