Dear Ladies,
I recieved this request and novena prayer one day late but as your days are a little behind us over here I was hoping to offer this too anyone who would please pray this for us in Australia. Even if you start the novena late and it doesn't end on the feast of Our Lady's birthday could you please consider making this novena anyway. This is a portion of the email sent to us:
"An attempt is being made in Victoria to
decriminalise abortion, ie: it would not longer be a crime. The bill before Parliament would decriminalise abortion up to 24 weeks gestation and then
beyond that if two doctors thought it appropriate! Please don't think this can't happen since anti-lifers now control all our Australian parliaments.
This novena is to begin on Sunday 31st August and conclude on 8th September, Our Lady's birthday."
Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
for Defeat of Victorian Anti-life Bill Aug 31-Sept 8
1. O my Jesus, You said "verily I say to You, ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you", behold I knock, I seek and I ask for the grace of the defeat of the legislation in the Victorian Parliament to decriminalize abortion, if this be God’s Holy Will.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father. Sacred Heart of Jesus I put all my trust in Thee.
2.O my Jesus, You said, "verily I say to You, whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you", behold in your name I ask the Father for the grace of the defeat of the legislation in the Victorian Parliament to decriminalize abortion, if this be God’s Holy Will.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I put all my trust in Thee.
3.O my Jesus, You said, "verily I say to You, heaven and earth shall pass away but My words shall not pass away", behold I encouraged by your infallible words, now ask for the grace of the defeat of the legislation in the Victorian Parliament to decriminalize abortion, if this be God’s Holy Will.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father. Sacred
Heart of Jesus, I put all my trust in Thee.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to whom one thing alone is impossible, namely, not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of Thee through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your and our tender Mother.
Say the Salve Regina and add, St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the unborn, intercede for us here.
If you are unable to say this novena I completely understand you are all going through your own Anti-life & weather problems over there, but if possible could you please keep this intention close to your heart in prayer.

I will pray Chemai, it is devestating that Victoria continues to lead the pack with anti-life, anti-family legislation...and this is my birth state, so very sad.
