Harriet Miers has withdrawn as Supreme Court nominee. Please join me in praying that Bush makes a wise decision that is pleasing to God in choosing his next nominee and chooses someone who will build up the culture of life.

I meant to post an update here a few days ago, but got too busy. Thanks be to God, Bush has nominated Judge Alito. Let's pray now for his confirmation. A friend told me about a great quote in an article about Alito on the USA Today website Monday.

"That impression was bolstered on Monday by none other than Alito's mother. 'Of course he's against abortion,' 90-year-old Rose Alito told the Associated Press." Definitely not the best thing for a Supreme Court nominee's mother to say to the press, but very reassuring!
