Can I ask for a few specific prayers for my oldest son?
He is at a military leadership camp for the next two weeks. He has had a pain in his throat/ tonsil since last week. He went in to an urgent care and was given antibiotics. Of course, being 17, he doesn't really know what the doctor told him. He isn't feeling sick at all, just this pain. It was still hurting yesterday when I dropped him off. He was adamant about going, he has been gearing up for this all summer. As soon as I started driving home, I got very panicky, worrying that it is something serious and that I shouldn't have let him go until I had it checked out again.
So, if you could pray for his health?

Next, can you prayer for his safety? They will be doing a mini boot camp, including lots of dangerous activity. I know he is a big, strong boy, but I am still his mommy!

Third, if you could pray that he might be inspired there to take a more proactive attitude toward his future. At this point he wants to be a Marine, which is great, but instead of really looking at the various opportunities and thinking towards a career, he just wants whatever job will get him on the front lines asap. I am not trying to stop him from making the choice he wants, but I want to see him make an informed decision and challenge himself.
