Oh, boy... I'll have to pray for myself first. My inclination is to want to kick that guy in the teeth. What a horrid individual - he clearly has some major ax to grind with the Church.
Goodness sakes. It never ceases to amaze me - some people can be so mean.

I posted some information from Wikipedia on this thread about this sad man. I can't read much more about him without wanting to wretch. It says that he proclaimed himself an atheist prior to his confirmation. Do other faiths have confirmations? Can this be clue that he might have been baptized Catholic?

This is tremendously rude and immature! Even if someone is an atheist, he can still be respectful of others and their beliefs. Somehow I would guess he wants others to respect his right to disagree.
You're so right that this man and others he touches, IRL or through his blog, are in need of prayer. I'm praying!

I did write to the university president, mentioning all the adverse publicity I was sure the university would receive if this professor actually succeeds in desecrating the Body of Christ.
It's really, really sad.

How much our Sweet Lord loves us to give Himself completely and totally to us in the Eucharist and be so vulnerable. How my heart aches for Sweet Jesus as I imagine Him just waiting...and still loving this poor man even in spite of his arrogance.
Offering all of my Adoration in reparation for the many offenses against our sweet and tender Eucharistic Lord. Sweet Jesus, have mercy!

I have to say how can anyone be sure that Catholics are sending such hate mail? An amoral man such as that is quite capable of getting friends and those who think alike to write such stuff, maybe not - but they are quite capable of it.

I sent the U a letter last week about this -- there are three students from our parish who will be attending that school in August.
The post has been removed from his blog, and his blog has been shut down on the U website. I'm hearing that he has been reprimanded.
