Hi all --
If you think of it, please spare a prayer for safe travel and many blessings for all the teenagers and chaperones travelling to the Steubenville Youth Weekend in Missouri this weekend. My oldest daughter is going, and I'm going as a chaperone.
Thanks so much! Praying for all your intentions.
Sally

Well, I'll just tag along here, Sally, to add the prayer request that I was going to post tonight.
My oldest dd is going to her first Steubenville High School Conference (at the campus in Steubenville) this weekend too. Prayers for her and the other members of our parish who are going with her would be much appreciated.
I just know these weekends can be such a point of conversion for young people. The faith that has been very family-based up until now can transform into a more personal love for Christ, and a prayer and sacramental life can blossom.
I'll pray for you and your daughter too, Sally.

Thanks, all -- we're safely back, and it was a good weekend. My daughter had a fabulous time, and it was very reinforcing to her, especially after a week of anti-Catholic pressure from family, to be in such a huge, vibrant group of Catholic teenagers. We loved seeing so many beautiful young Sisters, too. Even though we're not really "praise-and-worship" types (my idea of praise and worship music is Palestrina or Josquin), it was a very good time for us both.
My daughter lost her glasses over the weekend, but she thinks she dropped them in line for confession on Friday night, so I can't be too upset with her . . .
