I'm having a 10th birthday party for dd here this evening. One of the girls coming has a brother with a slight case of chicken pox. He was vaccinated and only got a few pox and a slight fever. She is not sick at all now. I'm told that chances are slim that she would also get it, but it's possible. I called all the parents and explained the situation and most are OK with sending their kids and hoping the sister, who was also vaccinated, won't be carrying it. One mom is more concerned (they are about to move next week) and may opt out, which I understand. But it's just too hard to reschedule with so many families headed on vacation soon, so I'm going ahead with it.

Can you all please say a quick prayer that no one gets sick from being at this party? I'd really appreciate it.

Well they talk about chickpox parties here in Australia...

but we've just been through it, the day after Annunica was born and I was so sick with my health problems, it was a nightmare, I will be praying that all will be fine.
