Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was very blessed on Sunday to attend a Mass celebrated by a German priest from Opus Sanctorum Angelorum (Work of the Holy Angels). Fr. Wolfgang's homily was about the OSA's "Crusade for Priests". He talked to us about spiritual motherhood and told us about a town in Italy where a group of woman got together to pray for vocations every Tuesday & also had a Mass said for that intention 1 Sunday a month. There were over 300 vocations to the priesthood that resulted from their efforts. If you're part of a group of Catholic woman that meet on a regular basis, this may be something you could do.

If you're interested in spiritually adopting a priest through their program, you may do so by going to this link. Please consider signing up with them or simply "adopt" a priest that you know who is in need of your prayers. Their website also lists several prayers for priests.

Brenda, this is such a nice site! I am in complete agreement with you; our priests SO need our prayers. The current situation in my parish could have been healed, I believe, if more people had prayed for our priests, bishops and deacons over the last couple of years. They certainly can't bear the burden of spiritual and administrative leadership without divine help.

Thank you for sharing this site and your thoughts with us.
