A PRAYER FOR TROUBLED MOTHERS
Mother of Mercy, your adorable Son died that we might live.
For the sake of all that He suffered, take pity on me and on all mothers whose hearts are breaking with anxiety for their children.
Just as you visited your cousin Elizabeth as she awaited the birth of the great John the Baptist, so come into our homes with your consoling presence and guide us with your holy wisdom.
We place our children, the cause of so much pain in our lives, under your protection, trusting that our prayers will pierce your Immaculate Heart and our tears invoke your powerful assistance. Amen.
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary,
be a Shield of Love over my child this day.
