this is going to sound so silly as a prayer request.

but I am losing a LOT of my hair. My dr did a full blood workup for me before we moved, and all looked good (even my cholesterol is really good.) But, I mean, every day, when I brush it, the brush ends up with a LOT of hair in it. If I don't brush it, when I wash it, it all comes out then. It is as bad as it ever was after a pregnancy.

My Mom's hairdresser told her that stress can cause hair lose (what? stressed? ME?).

Well, losing my hair isn't helping my stress level at all!!!

Becomes a vicious circle! I loose alot of hair to from time to time, my thyroid plays havoc with it.

I've had this a lot after pregnancy. It is very worrisome! How about some vitamin A? I've even gone as far as to take prenatal vitamins. Praying for you right now, Laura!

I was in the same situation terrified a few years ago. I had all the hormonal work ups etc. It finally just stopped falling out. I did take lots of B vites - and there is a hair vite too.

Could it be a hormonal issue? Did the blood work check that?

Praying, Laura! I've had that happen during pregnancy, but I've got LOTS of hair so it's never noticeable.

Laura, did he check your testosterone and DHEA levels? I know you said he did a workup, but hair falling out (esp in a male-pattern baldness sort of way) is an indicator of PCOS...(which I have, and was dealing with the hairloss at one point...which sent me to the dr who dx'd me--after 11 yrs of trying to figure it out).

My hair stopped falling out when I lost weight (the higher my weight is, the worse my symptoms are).
