I wanted to write to ask for prayers of thanksgiving. I went for a repeat sono today and baby has a strong, steady heartbeat. 
After last week's sono and blood test, there was some concern that I had blighted ovum. We had a G-sac, but the baby was not visible.
The ultrasound technician found the baby right away today, complete with heartbeat. I was so relieved I nearly had a breakdown. Our little one is a week behind dates, which is normal for my babes. We're due 17th January.

Nissa, this is wonderful news, you have been through alot in the meantime, I'm just pleased you have this assurance that baby is ok. I LOVE your due date Nissa, it was mine this year and Annuncia came on time too!

Nope. Happy tears. Our due dates didn't match before anyway. I just think it's wonderful that this sonogram was so GREAT and I can just imagine the flood of emotion Nissa must have felt. All good.

Thank you all so very much. I don't like being emotional in front of people I don't know well (i.e. new med staff), and it took all of my strength not to sob out loud.
As we drove in to the hospital this morning, I had an increasing feeling of dread. I really didn't want to see what we saw last week.
Apparently, my uterus is tipped pretty far back, making it really difficult to see in there - even with a T-V U/S. That, coupled with long cycles (making for a younger baby) meant that we wound up with a fuzzy sono the first time.
All this because I had some spotting and my MW is on sabbatical. 
You should have seen the relief on Brian's face. He hides his worry really well, he's so strong. But I happened to look up at him standing behind the tech - I wish I'd had a camera. He loves his babies. That's why I love him.
OK platzing again... I'm off to eat salad.
