He's 6. He was dx'd with leukemia a while back, and the dx was recently modified. The type of leukemia he has is the most common and easily (relatively speaking) treated--remission/cure rates are high. However, in doing further testing, it became clear that the particular sub-type of leukemia he has (Philadelphia?) is particularly BAD. No, AWFUL. Horrific is a good word for it. The survivability rates are very very low. It is chemo resistant. And neither of his brothers is a bone-marrow match.
This is really ugly folks. Please pray for him. For his parents....his siblings, and other family.
