You may recall the odyssey of ultrasounds and biopsies I went through earlier this year. I thought I had hit a health care lull , but this morning woke up to a pretty swollen left knee. As the day has progressed I've realized this is the beginning of a psoriatic arthritis flare; I was hoping I am just tired and sore from too much vacation followed by bridal shower preparation followed by being behind at home from all of the above.

My rheumatologist prescribed a new medication waaay back before vacation, but the insurance company just let me know they don't want to cover it. So we're facing discussing the medication with the insurance company and deciding what to do during the related delay. The doctor gave me a prednisone taper but I really want to take it only if I absolutely have to, and I"m not there yet. Frankly, I really wanted to go into remission via getting pregnant instead.

I'm blathering. Sigh. Please pray for my peace of mind, openness and submission to God's will in this circumstance, and JOY in the face of it all. Thanks.
