is it ok to ask for a second moving-related prayer request? as i was packing, i was folding a sheet. my mom has really, really low ceilings in her house. i was lost in thought and as i reached up trying to match up the sheet ends i put my hand right into the moving ceiling fan blades. of course it was at the highest speed. two of my fingers are bruised and swollen, and wow does it hurt. i had enough sense to quickly pull off my wedding ring and it is a good thing i did, as that finger is all swelled & black & blue now - but the next finger over is worse. the timing is of course horrible, i am now trying to do everything one-handed and i have to keep stopping to ice it. i really thought i broke them for a minute...and i am a little concerned about nerve damage as one of the fingers keeps like moving by itself.
i even cried like a baby - just sat on the floor and cried and cried. i am sure that it was just an emotional overload at that point.

OH, Laura! HUGS!!! I am SO sorry! Do you have any arnica, lotion and oral? Also, some hypericum may help, too. These are both homeopathic, just in case I am not making any sense.
You also have my prayers for moving.
And, it is DEFINITELY okay to ask for prayers twice!
If I am ever in LV I will look you up..............I DO expect to be going there sometime.....in the next ten years

Arnica sounds good! You poor, dear thing, Laura, I've said this a few days ago to someone, it's the straw that breaks the back, though this is not quite a straw..
You will probably feel better now you've had a good cry, nothing more theraputic. I'm praying now that things look up from now on.

OH NO, LAURA! I'm so sorry you are hurting! My last memory of leaving PA is this...I walked out of my mother's house to place the final piece of luggage in the trunk of her car. It was 8 degrees with a wind chill factor that brought it down well below zero. I heaved the luggage into the trunk and felt something *snap* in my back/shoulder. I was without use of my left arm for that whole day of travel (I'm still not laughing about it!) Within a week in AZ I landed in the emergency room with plueresy (sp?) connected to the injury because I didn't take care of myself. On another move, I sliced my hand with a razor that I was using to open moving boxes. Still have the scar because I probably should have gone for stitches but didn't. So the moral of this story is...
Be much smarter than Angie and take good care of your hand no matter what! Please!!!
I do like the crying part, though. Get it all out, girl .
Love,

Big hug, Laura! Extra prayers coming. I know that point of the last straw reducing me to a weeping mess!
Hang in there.
