Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello Everyone!

COuld you please keep my oldest ds in your prayers? He has been vomitting and experiencing (at times) sever abdominal pain since Saturday evening. He has been seen by three different doctors and many tests have been run, but nothing is conclusive. Right now, they are thinking it is either a virus, food poisoning, or appendicitis. We will be moitoring him for the next several days to see whether he begins to recover or what happens. Please pray that he will begin to recover and does not have any of these other more serious illnesses, for wisdom for the doctors, and for peace for me because I am very worried about him.

Thank you so much for your prayers! I will update when I can!

God bless,

Jenny

Jenny, we'll keep you all in our prayers. My ds (5) had something like this about a month ago. He would complain of severe stomach cramps but only threw up once. We went to the dr. 3 times within 2 days. We ended up in the emergency room b/c my doctor was afraid he may have appendicitis. He did not. The virus he had lasted for about 7 days. I hope your son feels much better soon! Keep us posted!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you ALL so much for your prayers and notes!

I'm sorry I could not post an update sooner, butI have been knee deep in laundry - no, it isn't food poisoning or appendicitis (thank goodness!), but a realy, really bad GI virus with lots of vomiting. Our younger son now has it, too, and we are watching the other children for any signs of it spreading to them. Hopefully, it won't, but I know you are all familiar with how fast these things spread and how hard they are to contain. Apparently, after talking to some other moms in our homeschool group, this stomach bug has been making its rounds through several other families in our group. At least it is good to know it wasn't his appendix!

Thank you all again for your prayers!

God bless,

Jenny

Well, glad it wasn't worse, but stomach viruses are no fun! Praying that no one else gets it and that your son recovers quickly!
