My sister Claudia- Her gallbladder is acting up. It will probably be removed very soon. Besides the pain and discomfort she needs to radically restrict her diet which she is finding very hard. She is so sensitive right now that even the slightest, seemingly insignificant, amount of fat sets her off. She loves food (who doesn't) so she is really struggling to eat right. I think it depresses her a bit too.

My sister Julia, actually her husband Andres. This is more serious. At a routine eye appointment yesterday they found a growth on his retina. I do not have all the details as I haven't been able to speak with my sister yet. Biopsy and malignant were said as were loss of vision and loss of the eye. Right now he needs more tests so the next 2 weeks will be stressful. My sister has an almost one year old and is pregnant (due in Dec.). Andres in an architect so loss of eyesight would hugely impact their life.

I can't stand it when my dear sisters have these heavy burdens especially when there is nothing I can do to make it all go away. Prayers please for them and their families.

Claudia met with the surgeon on Monday and they decided the best course of action was surgery (to remove the gall bladder) as soon as possible, which is tomorrow at 11 am. It should be outpatient if there's no complications. She's actually pretty happy because she knows she will feel much better. Prayers for a simple surgery would be most appreciated. Thanks everyone.
