It's taking a lot of prayers right now to get us through every day here. My dd
is on her second medication for what the doctor now thinks is epilepsy. The two medications together make her tired and irritable throughout the day. She has not napped during the day in over a year, but now she desperately needs a nap around midday. Without a nap she is horribly exhausted and her symptoms become worse by the end of the day. But she will not sleep during the day or even sit still long enough for a good quiet time. I have resorted to putting her in the car every day at noon and driving until she falls asleep just so she will not be distraught by 4 pm.
On top of that, she has been sick for nearly two weeks now with a viral infection- a fever that comes and goes, a terrible cough that stirred up her asthma... it's been tough here.
Please pray that we will be able to find a medication that makes her symptom free and that she will be able to get the rest she needs, especially during the day.
Please pray also for us for next Tuesday the 13th, when she is having another EEG done. She becomes very distraught during these, and the last one could not even be done because she was too upset.
Finally, please pray for my ds, who is having a hard time dealing with this. My dd is irritable and cries a lot during the day, which is very stressful for him (and us all). He has started biting his nails and feels like I don't give him enough attention. He also does not like to go for a car ride everyday so she can sleep. My mother will stay with him while we go for our drive, but then he gets upset about being away from me.
I feel very torn, trying to help both my children.
