I haven't posted here in a while but I come begging for your prayers. My 8 yr. old daughter Margaret (Maggie) was rushed to Penn State Hershey Medical Center today as we discovered she is diabetec (type I).
Please pray for her. Her blood sugar is still very high (over 300) and she isn't out of the woods yet --she is still in diabetic ketoacidosis. We are hopeful she will be doing better by morning. (I am writing from the hospital family room --she is sleeping at the moment.)
Admittedly I am feeling very guilty for not seeing the signs earlier. Of course this is all new to us and we have a long road ahead of us and we learn how to manage this disease and keep her healthy.
Right now though I am just asking for prayers that she will come through it all OK.

you have all of our prayers and support!
I told the children about the engagement in your family, on our way to mass today......and we offered up our mass for the soon-to-be-married couple. I am sure God will allow us to "back-offer" our mass graces for Maggie, too.
