Please say a prayer for the soldiers killed yesterday. It was a patrol less than a 1/2 mile from John's AO (area of operation). The patrol had stopped to talk to some locals in a market when they came under small arms fire. As there attention was drawn to the shooter, a suicide bomber walked up behind them and blew himself up.  I believe 5 were killed and 3 were hurt.
John is due back in the states by mid-April and we are all very nervous because of the stepped up attacks in the last few weeks. He called me at 6:30 AM to let me know that he was ok. He did not know any of the soldiers personally but the attack was very unnerving for everyone.
If you have a moment please say an extra prayer for the safety of all those in harms way.

Those prayers are coming Krisann, I imagine this is so hard for mothers to endure, you will be greatly relieved when he gets back, I pray the days go quick and safely!
