Hi All! Thanks so much for your prayers, they seem to have done the trick once again! My dad made it out of surgery about 11:30 this morning and when I left the hospital at 5:15 he was awake and very adamant that they get that breathing tube out! Luckily, they were just assembling a team to do so, and none too soon! I am so thankful for every single one of your prayers! Please keep praying for his continued recovery. Thanks so much!

My dad will be moved to a regular room today!!!! His blood oxygen levels are all normal, his kidney function is normal, his catheter and chest tubes cam out this morning and they will move him sometime before noon (Michigan time)!!! We are so excited!!! This means that the kids get to see him and we finally get to celebrate my oldest ds's 10th birthday (it was actually on Friday but no one felt right celebrating without grandpa!)!!! Thank you again for all your prayers, they worked so well! Hopefully he will get to come home in a few days.

I have to apologize for not updating sooner. My dad came home from the hospital on Wednesday and is doing fantastically. He can't be alone for 3 weeks so my mother has employed my 10yo dss to "babysit" him when she has to be gone. They think it is just the funniest thing! Thank you again for all your prayers! They worked!
