I was tempted to entitle this post, "Will this nightmare never end?!" My family has been sick, off and on (mostly on), for 10 days now. Most of the family got an awful stomach virus last week , but we were finally free of it this past weekend. Then dh came down with either the flu or a respiratory infection. Then my 8 yo woke up last night at 3am throwing up. She has it worse than anyone else last week. And my 5yo spent the day on the sofa with a stomach ache and fever, but is keeping everything down so far. Of course she's afraid to eat anything because of what her sisters have been through.

I am so sick of all the cancelled activities, the laundry, the carpets which now need a deep cleaning in some spots, and trying to contain these illnesses through constant disinfecting.

Please pray for a return to full health here, and for grace for me to accept these crosses. Yes, it is definitely LENT here!

Thank you so much for your prayers. It seems that the worst is over now. Some of the girls are still running a low grade fever today, but everyone was able to eat, at least to some extent, once again.

So far, dh is the only one with respiratory symptoms, so I am hopeful that the doctor was right in treating it as a respiratory infection, and not the flu.

Thanks for understanding my self-pitying plea for help! God answered your prayers.
