Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have placed this elsewhere on the forum but thought I would start a new thread to highlight our gratitude.

Unfortunately there are no words to express my deepest gratitude for all the prayers that have come from this forum. Each person’s prayers, sacrifices and petitions for us have been felt in a profound way by our family. The Lord and his Mother were definitely listening and we now have a beautiful baby boy that is truly a gift from heaven. I in turn ask God to bless and touch each one of you in a very special way.
Anne has especially been a wonderful support and the truest of friends. She has been the instigator of so many prayers for Augustine. We asked her and Phil (her lovely husband and a great friend) to be his Godparents. I asked Anne this on her birthday the feast of St Gerard Majella which I thought was very fitting (with St Gerard being a wonderful intercessor throughout our life) We have given Augustine the middle name Gerard.
Augustine was baptised by the most Rev. Bishop Geoffrey Jarrett at St Carthages Cathedral in Lismore on Christmas morning. It was private and very moving. Augustine gave his first and unmistakable smile the exact moment the words of Baptism were pronounced and a second one at the annointing - without waking. The Baptism on Christmas day was a huge blessing and quite a surprise as we were not expecting a Baptism for a couple of weeks.
Augustine is doing very well and is the calmest of babies. I will ask Scott to post up a pic of the whole family – together again after four long months. Thank you all again and be assured of our prayers for all of your intentions. God Bless. Chemai.

May Mary The Mother of God keep you all close to her loving heart.

It was a privelege to pray for you and Augustine! There is no blessing so precious as a little one welcomed. You are a wonderful example of embracing life, especially when it isn't easy and clear cut. Sending prayers of thanksgiving as you enjoy your precious little guy, and continued prayers for your healing!
