Our baby girl has been diagnosed with plagiocephaly (flat head) caused by being on her back so much while in foster care. In the UK, "helmet therapy" for this is only available privately - and dh feels it is worth paying for, as our sweet girl will have enough grief and torment to go through in her later life without feeling self-conscious about something that was basically an "injury" and not something she was born with. But she is still legally in the care of the social services, and because the treatment is not available on the NHS their doctor says it is unnecessary and cruel to the child. We've been turned down flat, even to pay with our own money, even to just have a consultation with the specialist.
Please pray for Toria, that the things we are doing now to help the distortion become less obvious would help, and that God would intervene to just fix the situation for her. It is so painful to be her mummy and daddy and powerless to help her with this.

Lucy,
That is maddening. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this - especially since you want to do the best for her. So frustrating to have those efforts thwarted by people who claim to be protecting her. she will know that you fought for her and that you love her more than anything. We'll pray that things change for you so that she can get the treatment she needs.
