just broke. We were about to do laundry a few minutes ago, and my front loader came apart. A sweater got caught in the front and the rubber piece is off. There were parts inside the machine.  I'm pretty sure the waranty is expired and the earliest they can get here is next Monday. I'm praying it won't cost too much anbd that I can keep my sanity. I'm so thankful for disposable diapers.
On a positive note, we're really enjoying the baby. She's absolutely incredible!!!

Oh my, what a burden to have a broken washer with a large family! Been there and it's not fun. I'm throwing in a prayer that they'll be able to get to you before next Monday, as well as for the cost and your sanity.

If the cost to fix it is a problem, please consider asking on freecycle (if your area has one). There may be a family who just bought one for Christmas & would like to pass their washer on. (???) We've given away a washer & a refrig during a move.

Oh dear - it's Monday now and I hope you are no longer in need of prayers for washer repair...but just in case...I'm sending them. At the very least, I'm praying for your sanity cause I'll bet you've got mountains of piled up laundry waiting around the house.

The repair man just left. He is ordering the part and will be back next Monday. So, another week without a washing machine.  Fortunately, he thinks it will be covered with the warranty. This is really inspiring me to get rid of extra clothes. Time to simplify.

Oh, what a penance! Yes, nothing like these sort of problems to help 'simplify' - I think it has been a great theme to discuss in the last week or so and I am wholeheartedly for it!!! (When I can finally walk around comfortably and seriously do it... )
