If your up early, please pray for our family this morning. We woke up around 4 am to the very strong smell of electrical burning. We at first thought it was a smell coming from outside because I always sleep with a window open just a crack but upon further exploration we found that our hot water heater in the basement is leaking and may have been doing so for some time.
We've had some fuse problems downstairs over the past few months but there was never a strong odor or the evidence of a leak so we didn't know that there was a problem, but it seems likely with this mornings wet floor and strong electrical odor that this may have started out as a small leak that was getting some of the electrical wet which would then cause the circut to overload and burn out.
We put in an emergency call to the plumber who told us to shut down the electrical to the area of the house (we have both fuse and newer electrical. As we have been remodeling we are converting to the newer system).
Please pray for our safety, their prompt assistance and for God's favor in a replacement to be available immeadiately at a reasonable price
Thanks!

Thank you for the prayers. They got a new hot water heater in and all is well now. It was a little unnerving to wake up to a burning smell in the house so early and half sleepy. I'm thankful that my husband did not leave the night before to go get his load (he's a trucker). Instead he was leaving very early in the morning which is why we woke up. If he hadn't of stayed the kids and I might have slept in till who knows when and who knows what would have happened had we not cut the power to the heater.
Praise God for his hand of protection of our family.
