Hello all - I was hoping you could all pray for my mom today at about 2:00 EST. She is having a PET Scan to see if she has cancer. She had some health issues in late November. When they did the CAT Scan on her in the hospital it showed and enlarged lymph node by her windpipe. Since they are not 100% sure if it cancer or not they decided to do the Pet scan . It is a radio active scan where the part of your body with cancer - if there is any - will light up. If this happens they will do a biopsy immediately.

The good news is the dr is 80% sure it is not cancer but they need to be sure.

update -

Just talked to my Mom. The lymph node by her windpipe that they were concerned about did light up. this indicates cancer. She is waiting for them to call back with her appointment for a biopsy. Please keep praying and I will update you when I know more.

Thank you all for the prayers - they did not give her immediate results as we originally thought. She should know by tomorrow afternoon and then they will make decisions after that if need be. thanks for the prayers I will keep you all updated.
