I would really appreciate prayers for my health at this time.
I have a long history of auto-immune illnesses. I have lived in chronic pain for all of my adult life, had surgeries,been on (almost) every possible treatment plan, and just have always been sick.
I just learned today that my Epstein Barre Virus is back and raging, along with a dx of Mono. If there was a way to describe how I feel right now, it would be that I am absolutely beat down. I feel like I have been run over by a semi, and am grasping for hope.
Along with this, I experience horrible dark thoughts. The absolute worse thing about all of this, is how it all effects my husband and children. We are all sick and tired of me being sick and tired.
My faith is fairly new(four years) and right now, very weak-which is why Icome to you. I want so badly to be well, and be the wife and mother my family deserves.
Added to all of this, is the fact that my Mom is coming to visit for the holidays-I haven't seen her in two years. We don't have a very good relationship. She pretty much disagrees with most eveything I do and am. Catholic,homeschooling, stay at home mom, horrible homemaker and decorator(I just didn't get that gene!) and I hate to shop. She is my DC only grandma, and even though they really don't know her, they are sooooo excited to see her.
Please pray for me,my DD,DS and DH.

Praying for you-for your health and especially for your visit with your mom. I also have a poor relationship with my mother. I have a history of shingles, and only have outbreaks when I'm with my mother! I have to get the stress out somehow, I guess. 
Try and rest. We'll be praying.

Christy: Take heart in knowing that the evil one delights in tempting (aka those horrible, dark thoughts) the ones Jesus loves most. I am sorry and am praying for your physical discomforts. Can you perhaps offer them up for someone else who needs prayers? I know this is difficult. But it may help you swallow the pill of being sick all the time. As far as housekeeping goes, is it feasible to hire someone to help you? You are the ONLY wife and mother your family wants, needs, and loves. Don't sell yourself short. Just thinking out loud.

Jennifer-I'm soryy about your shingles-my DH had them and I know how painful they can be.
Laura-I'm so sorry about your DD!
Tina-Thankyou for your wise words. It's kinda odd that the two things that most converts have trouble with-offering sufferings up and Mary-have been so easy for me to grasp. You know, when I learned of the meaning of suffering, and offering things(especially suffering and sacrifices) it was such a relief! I *finally* had something to do with the Crosses I've had to carry. Does that make sense? Just about two weeks ago, a young Mom here died after a long battle with cancer. She was such a hero, such a saint, such a beautiful person. I remember driving home from my doc's office...I had a good cry, then thought of this young woman and her family. I thought to myself that at least what I've had to deal with has all been things that I can fight and survive.
I feel so weak so often, but I really do try to keep things in perspective.It is so hard, and I do feel evil trying to eat away at me. It's a horrible feeling, and I try to fight it as much as possible.
Anyway,thankyou all so much.
