Please pray for my husband. He was having some mild symptoms last night that upon research sounded more like indigestion than anything serious (a neighbor brought over her toffee last night that even having eaten a very moderate serving of it, seems pretty rich) but this morning he told me he hadn't slept at all. No one we might've asked to drop him off was available so he called an ambulance. Please pray for his health -- and also for our practical needs right now if he needs any extended observation, as I don't drive and there's no one local I feel comfortable asking for an abundance of favors (though I'm sure we can get help if we truly need it, including a relative to drive here from four or five hours away.)

Thanks everyone! He should be on his way home soon. (He just opened the door as I was finishing up this post! He thanks you for your prayers.) They couldn't find anything, but his heart appears to be fine; an infection they couldn't detect is still a possibility, as we've had respiratory illness on and off here since late October, with both kids needing antibiotics for sinus infections, and my husband has had a cough for a while after his last other symptoms which is unusual for him. He has a prescription for an acid reflux medication since he seems to have had problems with that in the past. He's also been losing weight pretty quickly and that can cause gallstone issues. We'll follow up soon with a family doctor (glad I got a promising-sounding recommendation from a board member not long ago.)

Thanks everyone (and thanks Marilyn, though I'm hoping he'll be home and in good condition very soon!), he's back to the ER again today, We're not sure what to make of the symptoms he has but he doesn't think they're acid reflux. Since they checked him so thoroughly the other day I'm not too concerned that it's his heart but obviously want to know what it is that has been bothering him so much.

Thanks for praying and asking -- he came home after several hours and plenty of testing including a chest CT scan, again found nothing, might be some kind of peripheral nerve thing causing the discomfort and other symptoms. So we can have a Christmas without any unusual concern about heart, lungs, diabetes, etc.
Marilyn, I'll PM you with our info just so you have it again. Thanks!
