I know this is small, but...Can I please ask for prayers that the storms due to come this weekend don't leave too snow? My dear and generous sister is due to come to CT to watch my dc for Sat. and Sun. Dh and I have planned our long overdue (from April  ) 10th anniversary celebration. Non-refundable reservations have been made, tickets are purchased. The money's been spent, so if we get snowed out and my sister's not able to travel, there's no rescheduling.

update-well, the snow is deep and beautiful, but there's more to come this weekend. So, our weekend is off.  If only we can unload these tickets, I won't feel so bad. Who's the patron when you're trying to sell something?

That is just too sad! Praying you can sell the tickets so it isn't a total loss.
Dh and I are supposed to go to his Christmas party for work tomorrow night, which includes dinner and a paid-for hotel room at the Ritz Carlton. But it is supposed to snow here too, and the hotel is an hour from the hospital. So, we may just have to skip the whole thing since I am almost a week overdue and getting caught in a snowstorm may not be the best way to bring this baby into the world!
