My heart aches for them. They have been rocked by domestic violence, infidelity, divorce, and now mom (used to be a very dear friend) has 'left' the Church and will not be raising the children (4 of them, 7 and under) Catholic. This is a family that just 18 short months ago living the Catholic homeschooling lifestyle. I don't even know how to talk to mom anymore. Please pray for all of them, especially the children and much much healing for mom and dad both.
