Please pray for the repose of the soul of Christopher Huff, son of Pattie Kelley-Huff and for their family. Christopher, age 5, died this morning. Pattie is a contributing editor of Heart and Mind Catholic homeschool magazine and a frequent writer for various homeschool publications so you have probably seen her name. This message just came through another list I'm on.
Dear Friends -
It is with a bittersweet tone that I write to you today. Christopher
passed away in his sleep this morning. We believe it was related to his
airway issues. We have the autopsy results in a couple of hours.
Please pray for our family as we need lots of grace from God to weather
this storm. Amanda reminded me this morning that God never makes a
mistake. We know that Christopher is in the company of the angels and
saints and has seen God face-to-face this morning. He is in a better
place without pain or breathing difficulties or feeling hungry.
We are all surprised by his death. He had been doing so well. In fact,
yesterday I took him to drum-making workshop and he had a wonderful
time. He slept with his drum last night.
As you can imagine the kids are pretty broken up, so please pray that
they may find peace and acceptance. We haven't made any arrangements
yet. I will try to pass along another email when we know. At the
earliest, I think, the funeral will be Monday late afternoon or early
evening.
Thanks in advance for your prayers!
Pattie & Scott

Mary,
I am crushed. I remember Pattie fondly. Always so helpful and supportive. Such a postive, loving person. She gave birth to Christopher right before I delivered my Annie.
This is too close to home.
Thank you for letting us all know about this. I haven't been in touch with Pattie in too long.

I have been crying about this all day.
Pattie was a big part of our local pro-life work and the first homeschooling family I knew - one of those angels on my path.
My heart is aching for their family.
Precious little St. Christopher, pray for us!

I do recognize Pattie's name and am so sorry for their loss. I'm just heart-broken for their family and all who love Christopher. My prayers are with them.

So sorry. Don't know her personally, but the sudden death of a 5 year old is unimaginable to me - as I look at my rambunctious 5 year old and pray for Christopher's family. Prayers.

This is so sad. I can't imagine the pain they are going through. I will offer up many Masses and Rosaries for them.
