Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I hate to bother you, for this prayer request, TRULY, I DO.

...but, I have to go to the dentist tomorrow morning. I am not happy about this, but I am resigned. I am not worrying over it.......I know that worrying does not help. But, I would love to have prayers supporting me.

Some of you may remember all of the fun (ha!) I had last spring, with two separate toothaches, lasting a month each, both CAUSED by dental work.

That is part of why I am a wee bit uncomforatble. If I could go, knowing my discomfort would be temporary, it would be easier.

I DO have a new dentist, and he has a plan.....a very expensive plan ....to get my teeth fixed. Please pray for success, and an end to frequent dentist bills. So, I will keep coming back here for all of my dental appts.....I do NOT want to do this ALONE.

Also, I am barely recovering from a case of bronchitis....let's pray for no coughing fits.....yikes

I promise to offer it up for all of your intentions......esp for Molly, Gwen, Willa, Clare........WHO else has dental issues, I am missing someone....

If Aslan could go to the Stone table, I guess I can be strong enough to go to the Padded Chair.

Praying for your dental appointment. I was a dental assistant so you are definitely not alone with those feelings. In my five years of assisting, not one person ever said,"I love the dentist." I remember everyone always dreading the appointments! Praying...
Blessings to you.

It is all about dental work this Fall, isn't it Chari? We had one Root Canal, 5 extractions and Braces on all within 8 days. (on two people, not me!)
I'll pray!

Chari,

I don't know how I missed this. I hope your prayers were answered. I'm sorry you have to deal with teeth issues while you are suffering from bronchitis.

Blessings,

Thank you for the prayers. They helped so much!

I stayed calm.......it all went so smoothly........except the bleeding .......I will have to be specific about that with the next prayer request (appt on 11-14).

When the numbness wore off, I took two ibuprofen (yep, I did.......I figure I already hurt my perfect record of NONE last spring with the toothaches, plus, ShawnaB was tempting me with mom's night out ), a twenty minute nap, awakened with no pain, watched a foreign film, all alone (yes!)........organized kids.......went to a yummy dinner for mom's night out!

And, the next day, it has all gone well, Deo gratias!

So, we can get rid of this bronchitis, and all will be well.

Till the 14th

Janette, I posted my prayer request moments after reading the chapter of Aslan and the Stone Table aloud........it was an easy and logical jump for me

Thank you again, friends...........you know I will be back.......again...........and again

Okay, here I go again.......BEGGING

I have an appt at 11am today, the 14th.

More prayers,please?

And, since I am now in the middle of Prince Caspian.......can we just pray that the horn gets blown soon, so *I* can go to Narnia.......and delay this appt indefinitely?

It is hard to be brave, isn't it? And, I just found out I have to be brave twice this week..........pressure.

Thanks, friends.............I offer it all up for you!

Chari:

Prayers here - I personally love the dentist but hate the docs so can identify with the fear and frustration - just different speciality does it to me.

I LOVE the literary connections, Chari, but am SO sorry that you're going through all of this pain! :( You have been in my prayers every day for your poor mouth. I hope that the appointment today helped.

I go again tomorrow .......the usual prayers needed

I am trying to think of something literary to add..........I just finished a chapter in Prince Caspian.........

let's see: Pray I can follow my cross tomorrow, willingly, and with trust & faith, as Lucy, had to follow Aslan, when no one else could see him.

Did that work?

I pray I feel well after the dentist.........the kids and I are going to "play" at crafts at ShawnaB's after the appt.

Thanks, friends.
