We are driving my oldest son (19) to college today. He will be a freshman at Thomas Aquinas College. It's about 250 miles away from us, not bad but still not next door 
Please pray for a safe trip for our family and for Liam's good, holy, grace-filled transition into life away from home. I expect he will do fine but you know a mother's heart -- it is being wrenched right now! It seems like only the beginning of leavetakings -- and it seems like only yesterday I gazed into the dark newborn eyes of this oldest son

Congratulations Willa! What a moment! We have a Liam in our family too and I got choked up thinking of your Liam heading off to college while I imagined the day when that would be my Liam. Well done, Mom.
Here's to his future and yours and may they find new ways to intertwine and bring you both deep peace and joy.

I'm a little choked up myself, Willa, and I don't even really "know" you! Why does it have to go so fast! I have some friends here in San Diego that went to T.A.C. and they all loved it! Praying for a safe drive and a good transition for all of you.

I can only imagine the mixed emotions you all are feeling! May God bless your whole family abundantly.
