We are in the home stretch...Lily could come home tomorrow, if they get the homecare arranged. This is a long drawn out process for some reason in our new area, at our other hospital in our previous state, it meant a few phone calls and you have it taken care of...here it has been over a week of phone calls, with no certain answer yet. Because she has a trach, someone needs to be available to suction her airway and be near her all night....we did that without help for five years with my last little one and his trach. It would be nice to have a nurse help, but I don't want her discharge to be delayed as they SLOWLY work out the details. Lily is medically stable and can come home now...please pray that it will not be delayed!!!!
Our "next door neighbor" in NICU is a sweet lady with a preemie....she is in for probably a few more weeks. I gave her a bunch of outfits that Lily can't wear because of her trach and g-tube. This mom went out and bought Lily a few outfits, and one is a pink two piece with Pooh bear on the front, and the phrase, "sweet little flower", Pooh is looking at a rose....the top is pink, and the bottoms are white with delicate pink rosebuds. Nearly every night, I have asked St. Therese, (Lily's middle namesake), the Little Flower, to watch over my daughter since I can't be with her every minute.
St. Therese is the best, isn't she? I have decided to bring Lily home in that outfit....please pray it is tomorrow!! My heart and arms ache to hold my precious girl full time!!!

Praying that your little Lily is home with you all very soon!
(My daughter's middle name is Therese too, and I have so much confidence that Saint Therese is watching over all these sweet little girls entrusted to her patronage!)
