I have an OB appointment tomorrow - from talking to another OB in the practice last week, and from discussing it with several friends who know the doctor I'll be seeing tomorrow - it seems almost certain that I'll be highly encouraged to either just stay after my appointment at noon tomorrow or come back first thing Wednesday to induce. I really don't think it will take much to kick me into labor, I feel like I've been in "little labor" for the past 2 weeks!
For many reasons, I am now OK with this...please pray for me, the baby, widsom for the doctors and nurses, my dh - and my parents who are a nervous wreck and will be sitting for my kids  . My dad brought me to my appointment last week (in case they kept me to induce then) and he almost locked his keys in his running car he was so nervous. They've never been around for a whole pregnancy before so this is all new to them.

Oooo! Not to give away any names, but I hope it is tomorrow!  Not sure why I didn't realize his feast is tomorrow, because I have been scouring saints calendars for September birthdays for weeks now...

Dear Amy - I will be praying. Your seesaw in the last few weeks sound just like mine was. As soon as they broke my water I dilated fully - after weeks of contractions but no dilation. I love the possible name choice too Please keep us updated

Oh, Amy! Praying for wisdom for the docs, for an easy labor, and a beautiful birth. I completely *get* those roller coaster emotions; every time I realized I was in labor, I had a 2 minute cry over "I don't know if I can do this" -- but, of course, there was nothing to do BUT to do it.

Oh I just read this now! I'm praying for you Amy! Your description of your dad made me laugh. It reminded me of my step-dad who came to visit me in labour for Cate (our first babe). He clearly didn't know what to do with himself and offered to buy Brian an orange juice at the Cafe. Can you imagine someone actually offering to buy you and *orange juice*? ROFL!
I hope your birth is BEAUTIFUL! Oh, those new babies. And a new adventure for you having your first son!
