I'll start by saying that our family is very grateful for Dave's current job with Immigration which he has held for 1.5 years. What our family is praying for is a promotion of sorts. There is a wonderful position available with Indian Health Service (IHS) in Phoenix. Long story short, Dave had been recommended for it by the person who retired from it (as well as several other folks) over a year ago but he did not get a shot at it because of Indian Preference (IHS posts positions and if anyone with Indian blood meets the minimum requirements, non-Indians don't get interviewed.) Well...the person who did get the job is unable to do the job so is being let go and it is being posted again.
Dave would be very happy to be working in IHS again. Working in corrections is very draining. I'm very proud of Dave and his willingness to do such difficult work in corrections in order to provide for us. I would love for him to get this chance to get out of the corrections trenches! Plus, I believe his gifts will be better shared in IHS. Having said that, we pray that only God's will be done.
Thanks...it feels so much better knowing that you all are praying for us and cheering us on.

We're praying along with St. Joseph for the new job. Although during our Rosary today I prayed for a new job for Angie and Steve  If it were up to me remembering anything, nobody's prayers would be answered

Here we go again 
The position was never filled and the position has remained open for political reasons that I won't elaborate on. Today we found out that the position will be posted AGAIN in a month along with ANOTHER position that my dh would fill so well, in my not so humble opinion!
Please pray, friends. This morning I woke up and sensed that we needed to BEG...really pray! I was going to post a request for a change...a change in job, a change in his current job administration, and or a heroic change in heart about dh's current job. The children and I are offering up a daily Memorare for this petition. Well...you could have knocked me over with a feather when dh called with this news this afternoon!
As always...God's will be done! Thank you, thank you!
