Well, Angela, is 26 but she is still the baby. She was just wheeled into surgery for kidney stones. She has so many medical issues that this is not simple. For her it is high risk.
I'm suddenly feeling very fearful, please storm heaven for her.

They went into surgery but the news isn't good. There was too much bleeding and scar tissue to work on the kidney stones. They want to break it up into several surgeries.
I'm not sure why they weren't more prepared for this to be complicated. She has a brain shunt, is spina bifida and her organs are in all the wrong places. They had to know going in that this would not be text book. We're talking U of M hospital here.
Thank you all for praying, she is stable and still in post op right now.

I finally talked to my mom a little. It turns out they lacerated something when they went in. This has to heal before they can do any more surgeries. The worst case now is that she would lose the kidney if they can't get to this huge stone, apparently that is a possibility. My attorney brother is furious.
In the meantime Angela is bubbly and making friends with all the nurses. She is 26, but her social skills are about a 9 year old level. She is a charmingly sweet young lady in spite of the fact that we've all spoiled her terribly.
