Barbara B used to be on the CCM list. She is going through a difficult time now with cancer ( see below). Will you join us in a novena prayer to Pope John Paul II, for Barbara and for the beatification of Pope John Paul II?

Yesterday, the report showed that the disease has metastasized to an area of the pelvic bone. In terms of historical survival statistics, this drops me into the very lowest rung. Pray this prayer for Pope John Paul II to intercede for you. Pope John Paul II beatification started June 28, 2005.
O Blessed Trinity, We thank you for having graced the Church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendor of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints.

Yes, prayers coming for Barbara! She's really been so generous in sharing her knowledge of awareness of skin cancer and precautions.
My dh recently developed a lower form of skin cancer recently, and I'm really trying to be careful as we are Pale, Paler and Palest in this family!
And watching what has happened with Susan Torres has doubly given me concern!

Praying for Barbara here, too. I thought of her yesterday when I was at the dermatologist (follow-up on the removal of a pre-cancerous growth) and have been keeping her close in prayer ....
