One of my husband's long time employees has been arrested and we need urgent prayers for his immediate release and dropping of all charges.
This is a 50+ year old married family man who has been with the company for more than 20 years. He has NEVER had a complaint from any customer EVER. He is in the top 10% of all employees (out of many thousands!). He has never been in trouble with the law for anything.
Today he stopped at a regular customer's home as usual. He noticed the door was ajar when he arrived. He knocked several times and said hello through the open door. There was no response. He tried a couple more times and shouted louder, with no response. He stepped inside to make sure the person wasn't hurt or in need of help. He hollered out a couple more times, while standing in the living room. Suddenly the customer came out of the back room screaming at him to get out and never come back. How dare he, etc. He tried to explain that he was just worried because the door was open and there was no response but she didn't want to hear it. He appologized profusely and left.
She called the police and told them that he had been in her bedroom rummaging through her things when she found him!
The police went and found him, he willing went to the station and gave a statement and the let him go back to work. A few hours later they decided to arrest him, even though they have not dusted for fingerprints or done anything else to prove he was anywhere other than in the living room.
Everyone is just devastated. We don't know why this customer would say such things. She has been his customer for 6 years, she knows him. This is all crazy!
In the past there have been customers who have been injured and the person who found them was the delivery person. That was what was going through his head, what if someone is injured or what if someone broke in? Next time I am sure he will stand in the doorway and call the authorities!
Please pray for "Ed", his family, the customer, etc. We are very hopeful that things will be straightened out tomorrow when it goes before the judge. Please pray very hard!!
