I had posted a prayer request about a spinal tap that was scheduled for today. I decided to discuss the results of previous tests and the possible diagnosis with the doctor instead.
After the abnormalities on brain and spinal cord MRIs and with my symptom history, he thinks it's a moderate to high probability that I have multiple sclerosis. It could still be Lyme disease or I guess even something else. I may still have the spinal tap soon to help with the diagnosis but I might choose to have just a Lyme test first.
The other thing is there was some kind of -- I forget the terminology, but something about my adrenal gland that happened to be noticed on the MRI. If I recall correctly the doctor said it was "probably" a cyst but he gave me an order for another MRI to investigate it further. From what I understand that would be a separate concern from the possible MS.
Anyway, these MRIs are expensive, and I'm a bit concerned about the adrenal gland thing. Obviously, MS itself wouldn't be great to have, but I've been aware of the possibility for a while and am not feeling scared at the idea of being diagnosed with it. But prayers would be appreciated. Thanks!
