Please offer an Ave if you are able. I have ANOTHER tooth that has become infected, the pain is relentless right now, of course it is the weekend and very little I can do outside of going to the ER!!!! (my dentist answering service told me)
BTW, any natural ideas are welcome....I am taking Hypericum, washing it with salt water, anyone know anything else???
It is REALLY hard to be nice when your mouth hurts like this and I have a wedding to attend tonight at 5:30pm

Molly, this happened to me once right after we moved to be near relatives. My dear brother told me to soak a cotton ball in whiskey and place it near the gum of the painful tooth. This got me through the weekend till I could see the dentist (and make an appointment for my second root canal, alas!) 
If you don't want to use whiskey, oil of cloves is supposed to help too (applied in much the same way, I think) but I haven't personally tried that.

I never used a cotton ball.........but just dipped my finger in the whiskey and rubbed it on........kind of a grown-up anbesol (sp???)
it helped a lot

Well I attempted the wedding.....we were driving, I sneezed my teeth clanked each other, I saw stars, nearly passed out in pain, dh said we were going to the ER......fine just make this pain stop. My BP was soaring,nurses were awesome, very understanding and the doctor was unbelievably ignorant. He looked at my mouth and said "oh I guess I can give you something for your discomfort", to which I answered, "how about we put your head in a vice grip and see how your discomfort is". My dh was mortified, the doctor peeved and my dc laughed! Not such a good day for offering up suffering!!!!! I really need to learn to keep my mouth shut!!!
What really irritated me was the fact that our retired Bishop was in the ER, waiting in his pajamas in the waiting room. Because I was on the "fast track" I got in and out, while this man, a bishop is left sitting in a waiting room.  When we asked the doctor about it, he told me the bishop was no different than anyone else, he could wait!!! I being in pain and then this attitude from the doctor, was less than "polished"
So thank you for your prayers, I need them for more than physical pain.
