Please pray for the 6 coal miners in Huntington, Utah, who became trapped in a mine 9 days ago. Great effort is being put forward to free them, although they have not found any evidence that they are alive.
Officials remain hopeful that after the mine collapsed the miners retreated into an air pocket. They are more than 3 miles into the mine.

My Mother works for the Salt Lake City Utah diocese and said the situation among the people in Huntington is very poor. They have begun an effort to collect prayers, money, items, etc. for these people. You can read more on this thread here thread on miners

We have been praying for them and will continue too. I didn't realize there was a chance that they were still alive, barring of course a miracle.

I've just read that two rescuers have died and seven are seriously injured - these men going in to save others - may God be merciful to these two brave men who have given their lives and heal those who are now injured - they go in knowing there are tremendous risks and yet they courageously do it - I will be praying for everyone involved and I am just so sad for all the families.
