Hello, our family is in the midst of adopting our second child. Amazingly, the same afternoon we passed panel as adopters, our social worker told us about a baby girl. In the UK, babies - especially girls - just don't come up for adoption. She has some major issues, of course, but from what little we were able to be told of her we love her and believe that she may be the child God has planned for us. She would fit with our desires as well as with our skill-set as adoptive parents, and our sweet son has been daily praying for a little sister he can teach to walk.

We won't even know if she can be adopted until the end of this month. And then we don't know if she will come to us or how long the process will take.

Mainly, we would like prayers for her. Her initial is V but following our son's lead (who assures us that Jesus told him that she is his sister) we call her Tock Tock. I am so thankful to be able to ask the saints to intercede for her and to know that Our Lady watches over her crib. But we are really struggling to cope with the process. You know, we feel that we are her parents and she needs to be here - anyone who has adopted will know what I mean, I guess.

Prayers for us to rest in God's will and prayers for her protection and well-being and total healing would be balm to all our souls.
