Oh boy ladies, this has been a LONG week....we went to my husband's friends funeral yesterday. I had asked for prayers last week for his family. He was a Army Nat'l Guard soldier that died in Iraq. Well, while we were at his funeral we learned of ANOTHER soldier that used to be in my husband's unit and was deployed w/him for a year and a half that was just killed by an IED the day before! The guys from my husband's unit that are still here are just MAD..to say the least....the one that just passed away 2 days ago was also just getting ready to come home and was doing his very LAST patrol, helping the guys just coming in and he was hit. He was 30 years old w/3 children.
I am just asking everyone to pray for their souls and their families. I have to say the funeral yesterday was the worst thing I've ever been through! SOOO sad!!! And to see grown men in uniforms holding back tears made it even worse. I don't ever want to do that again!

How absolutely horrible! Praying for the repose of these men's souls and for their families and for all who knew and loved them.

Why is it that it happens right before they are supposed to come home. Just when the family starts to breathe a sigh of relief?
