Brian got some rather upsetting news today. He went for an intensive eye exam as part of his Diaconate preparation. We knew his vision wasn't great, but apparently, he's got a severe malformation of both eyes which will surely lead to a tearing of the retinas and surgery.
Praise God, this doctor is tops in the field and will be following Brian closely to prevent major disaster, blindness, and a very scary surgery. He will still likely need some kind of surgery at some point in the future, but - please God - less traumatic than two weeks face down on his stomach recovering.
Please pray that he will progress slowly, or be spared altogether.
St. Lucia, pray for us!
